Job Overview:

Westwave Logistics is seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our transportation team in Alberta. The ideal candidate will safely operate commercial trucks to deliver freight efficiently and on time, while maintaining a strong focus on safety, vehicle maintenance, and customer service. Candidates with skills in heavy equipment handling are highly valued to support diverse operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate commercial trucks to transport freight to designated locations according to schedule.
  • Load and unload cargo when necessary, following safety protocols.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to check for mechanical issues and ensure proper documentation.
  • Maintain accurate delivery records and communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery status or delays.
  • Follow all federal, provincial, and local transportation regulations, as well as company policies, to ensure compliance.
  • Operate heavy equipment safely when required at warehouses or distribution centers.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Class 1 (A) Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in commercial driving, freight transportation, or related fields.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for recordkeeping and compliance.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy loads, operate machinery, and work in various weather conditions.
