Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, Canada Neighbourly Pharmacy Full time $25,000 - $60,000 per year

Neighbourly Pharmacy is looking for a Pharmacy Assistant to join our team at Pharmasave Crescent Park Pharmacy in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan.

Patient Focused Care Responsibilities:

  • Support pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in providing high-quality patient care
  • Greet customers and answer phone calls in a professional manner
  • Assist with entering, labelling, and packaging prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist or pharmacy technician
  • Accurately count, measure, and package medications according to established protocols
  • Receive and stock medication and supply shipments, monitor inventory levels, rotate stock, and support inventory audits
  • Keep the pharmacy area clean and organized; safely dispose of expired medications and hazardous waste in accordance with regulations
  • Perform clerical tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning, and assist with insurance claims and prescription transfers
  • Assist with daily pharmacy operations and perform other duties as assigned

Delivery Duties:

  • A valid driver's licence is required, along with access to a reliable personal vehicle for occasional pharmacy deliveries.
  • Reimbursement will be provided for the use of your personal vehicle for these deliveries.

Qualifications:

  • No experience is required.
  • Completion of a pharmacy assistant program is an asset.
  • Previous experience within a pharmacy is an asset (on-the-job training will be provided)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to thrive in a team environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and Kroll pharmacy software is an asset (training will be provided) 
  • Ability to stand for long periods and occasional lifting of boxes/containers
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed 

Schedule:

  • 12 to 20 hours per week (Part-time).
  • The store is open Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Saturday from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Typical shifts will be scheduled within these days and times, closing shifts and weekends.
