Job Title: Overnight Childcare Worker
Position Type: 4 nights 35hrs per week
Schedule: 10PM-5AM Sunday-Thursday night

Currently, we are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Overnight Childcare Worker to join our team.
Position Overview:
As an Overnight Childcare Worker, you will be responsible for providing overnight support to a foster home, ensuring the safety, well-being, and comfort of children during the night. Your duties will include meal preparation, light housekeeping, and maintaining a secure and clean environment. Flexibility, attention to detail, and adaptability are essential qualities for success in this role. We are seeking someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and youth in care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Remain awake and alert throughout all working hours to ensure the safety and well-being of children in care.
- Adhere to and ensure compliance with the home's Fire Safety Plan, maintaining a safe working environment.
- Conduct regular room checks and accurately document completed tasks.
- Attend to childcare needs during overnight hours, providing support as required.
- Perform basic housekeeping duties, including sweeping, mopping, and kitchen maintenance.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and throughout the home.
- Properly dispose of waste and maintain cleanliness in all areas of the home.
Qualifications:
- Previous childcare experience or relevant education (Early Childhood Education or Youth Care Worker preferred but not mandatory).
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with children, supervisors, and partner agencies.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid driver's license.
- Criminal record check (issued within the past 3 months).
