As our client's new Technical Sales Representative team member, you understand how to Sell without "Selling" because you focus on the solutions customers are looking for. Whether they are aware of it or not 

Your strong technical knowledge, combined with your innovative approach, attention to detail and a true passion to provide a value added service is what makes you stand out from your peers.

Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to): 

  • Identify opportunities & potential industries for growth 
  • Evaluate incoming requests for quotes 
  • Provide cost estimates for casting production 
  • Build long-term relationships with customers and suppliers 
  • Simultaneously manage projects in a fast paced environment from inquiry through delivery to ensure reliability of product and service 
  • Provide technical expertise and commercial information to suppliers and customers 
  • Successfully collaborate with the other Sales team members to further grow the organization 

To be successful in this role, you ideally have a Bachelor Degree or Technologist Diploma in Metallurgy, Materials, Industrial or Technical Engineering or bring related technical knowledge combined with hands-on industry experience. Basic knowledge of metal casting principles - chemistry - foundry practices, solidification characteristics and heat treat methodology is definitely an asset. 

Your proven ability to read blueprints / engineering drawings is critical and some metallurgical knowledge of steel, iron and non-ferrous material characteristics is definitely and asset.
