Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Buyer to temporarily support our Procurement Department while our Junior Buyer is on medical leave. This is an excellent opportunity for a student or recent graduate in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, multi-plant manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day purchasing activities, including placing purchase orders and ensuring timely delivery.
• Support procurement strategies for categories such as packaging, PPE, and raw materials.
• Daily and week tonnage report to the farms
• Daily receiving of compost raw materials
• Day to day management of Limble to include inventory management and maintenance planning
• Monitor supplier performance and help resolve delivery or quality issues.
• Analyze inventory and consumption data to support demand forecasting.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure procurement aligns with business needs.
• Help maintain accurate procurement documentation and support ERP system updates (Sage X3 will be added advantage).
• Participate in cost-saving initiatives and supply chain improvement projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Being able to work under pressure
• Basic knowledge of stock & inventory management
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with procurement software is a plus.
