Pipeline Technician

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Technician to join our team. This role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing heavy equipment and systems primarily within the construction and oil & gas industries. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and the ability to perform heavy lifting and operate heavy machinery. Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on heavy equipment and machinery used in construction and oil & gas operations
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control system issues, including programming and diagnostics of PLCs
• Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently in various work environments
• Assist with installation, calibration, and setup of new equipment or systems
• Conduct basic math calculations for measurements, adjustments, or system configurations
• Follow safety protocols diligently to ensure a safe working environment for all team members
• Document maintenance activities, repairs, and system modifications accurately

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems
• Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is highly desirable
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate heavy machinery effectively
• Background in construction or oil & gas industries is preferred
• Proficiency in basic math for measurements and calculations
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in physically demanding environments
• Knowledge of safety standards and procedures related to heavy equipment operation
