Agropur is looking for an Operational Performance Specialist to join its team in Notre-Dame-du-Bon-Conseil.

The Operational Performance Specialist's mission is to optimize processes, improve yields, ensure equipment reliability, and strengthen team skills in order to achieve the highest standards of quality, safety, and performance. The person will actively contribute to continuous performance improvement, the implementation of quality and technical standards, and the development of team skills.

  • Salary range 005: $82,600 to $103,200 (salary will be determined based on skills, training, education, and experience relevant to the position).

What's involved in this role:

The Operational Performance Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Leading the deployment of vision, strategies, and priorities across sector teams;

  • Being accountable for departmental/sector results and achieving goals including safety, quality, reliability, production, and cost;

  • Developing the skills of production department operators and triad experts in collaboration with the Production Director;

  • Attending all site training and coaching the organization on the importance of being present on the floor. Conduct coaching and health checks with sector experts and demonstrate completion of effective health assessments;

  • Ensuring equipment and process reliability and optimization;

  • Implementing strategies to improve cheese yield;

  • Establishing, maintaining, and improving the effectiveness of daily management systems;

  • Leading a 90-day team plan and personally driving actions to eliminate specific organizational losses;

  • Organizing and executing tasks during plant shutdowns;

  • Improving SAP transactions.

What you need to join our team:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or industrial engineering, or other relevant education;

  • 5 to 7 years of experience in a similar role within a unionized manufacturing environment;

  • Excellent understanding of processes, equipment, and operational performance.

  • Mastery of Lean principles;

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in both French and English (English required to work with colleagues from other Canadian provinces).
