Job Summary:

The position involves operating and maintaining laser cutting, shear, and punch machines to produce precision metal components according to specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Bystronic CNC industrial laser and Amada CNCpunch using Metalix nesting software to cut stainless steel parts accurately while optimizing yields.
  • Operate laser cutting, shear, and punch machines to cut and form stainless steel parts accurately.
  • Load and unload metal sheets and finished parts
  • Handle large stainless-steel sheets (often up to full 4'x10' or 5'x10' sizes) with care and accuracy.
  • Assist with material handling, including moving sheets and parts by hand, or using carts or forklifts.
  • Inspect materials for quality, accuracy, and flatness before and after processing.
  • Read and interpret and act on technical drawings, cut lists, and job orders.
  • Perform machine setups, tool changes, and minor adjustments to maintain cutting quality.
  • Monitor machine performance and report any mechanical or safety issues immediately.
  • Maintain clean and organize work areas, including material racks and scrap bins.
  • Use measuring tools (calipers, tape measures, gauges) to verify part dimensions.
  • Follow all safety protocols and PPE requirements when working around heavy machinery.

Responsabilités principales :

  • Programmer un laser industriel CNC Bystronic et une poinçonneuse CNC Amada à l'aide du logiciel de nesting Metalix afin de découper avec précision des pièces en acier inoxydable tout en optimisant le rendement.
  • Faire fonctionner les machines de découpe laser, de cisaille et de poinçonnage pour découper et former avec précision des pièces en acier inoxydable.
  • Charger et décharger les tôles métalliques et les pièces finies.
  • Manipuler avec soin et précision de grandes plaques d'acier inoxydable (souvent jusqu'à des formats complets de 4'x10' ou 5'x10').
  • Aider à la manutention, notamment au déplacement manuel des tôles et des pièces ou à l'aide de chariots ou de chariots élévateurs.
  • Inspecter les matériaux pour vérifier leur qualité, leur précision et leur planéité avant et après traitement.
  • Lire, interpréter et appliquer les dessins techniques, listes de découpe et bons de travail.
  • Effectuer les réglages des machines, les changements d'outils et les ajustements mineurs pour maintenir la qualité de découpe.
  • Surveiller les performances des machines et signaler immédiatement toute anomalie mécanique ou de sécurité.
  • Maintenir des zones de travail propres et organisées, y compris les étagères de matériaux et les bacs de rebuts.
  • Utiliser des outils de mesure (pieds à coulisse, rubans à mesurer, jauges) pour vérifier les dimensions des pièces.
  • Suivre tous les protocoles de sécurité et exigences de PPE lors du travail autour de machines lourdes.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00-$33.00 per hour
