Farm Fabricator/Millwright

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder/Millwright/Mr. Fix it, to join our dynamic team at our seasonal vegetable wash and pack operation. We have a get it done work culture without the corporate BS. The position is ideally filled by someone who loves to accomplish their goals without too much hand holding. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and fabrication, with experience working on stainless vegetable farm machinery. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The candidate must be a self starter, the 'offseason' is the winter where we tackle our biggest 'fabrication' projects, while in season they would be available for breakdowns, and small tweaks and changes. There is also some welding projects that take place outside the scope of the vegetable pack operation on farm and field equipment. During the vegetable season the ability to troubleshoot and fix low voltage issues and mechanical issues with weigher and packager as well as peelers and many other processing machines is a must. The candidate will need to be dynamic in working with a team of production and maintenance personal.

Responsibilities

• Weld and fabricate metal components using various techniques and equipment.
• Work with stainless steel, ensuring proper assembly and installation according to specifications.
• Operate plasma cutting machines and lathes for shaping metal materials.
• Utilize forklifts safely for lifting heavy materials during the fabrication process.
• Assemble parts accurately using hand tools while adhering to safety protocols.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety guidelines.

Skills

• Proficient in welding techniques and practices, with experience in various welding processes.
• Knowledge of conveyor fabrication and installation methods.
• Experience with plasma cutting and operating press brake machines.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Ability to assemble components using hand tools effectively.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

Pay: $25.77-$32.00 per hour
