We are currently seeking a skilled Refrigeration Mechanic to join our team.

Job Description

As a Refrigeration Mechanic, you will be responsible for the service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation of commercial refrigeration and HVAC equipment. This role is ideal for a motivated technician who takes pride in their work and values professionalism and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Service, diagnose, and repair commercial refrigeration systems (walk-in coolers/freezers, rack systems, condensers, evaporators)
  • Perform preventative maintenance on refrigeration and HVAC equipment
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control system issues
  • Work with common refrigerants (e.g., R-404A, R-448A, R-449A, etc.)
  • Complete service reports with clear and accurate documentation
  • Communicate effectively with customers and internal team members
  • Follow all safety standards, codes, and company procedures
  • Participate in on-call rotation

Qualifications

  • Valid Ontario Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic (313A) License
  • Minimum 3–5 years experience in commercial refrigeration
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Valid G2 Gas License
  • ODP Certification
  • Valid Ontario driver's license with clean driving record
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
