The Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced BIM Specialist with strong skills in precast concrete systems, Tekla Structures, and structural detailing.

You'll play a hands-on role in delivering fabrication-ready models and coordinating data across disciplines and stakeholders. You'll also have the opportunity to contribute to advanced tools and workflows, API integrations, and visualization work in Unreal Engine for rendering, AR/VR, and presentation materials.

This is a role for someone who understands how buildings go together — and enjoys making that process smoother, smarter, and more visual.

What You'll Do

• Implement and support BIM standards, best practices, and quality checks
• Create Tekla-based BIM models for various types of structures including institutional buildings, stadiums, buildings, and parking garages
• Create fabrication-level drawings, including General Arrangement, rebar, embeds, and connection drawings
• Collaborate with engineers, drafters, and fabricators to ensure clarity and constructability
• Contribute to automation and customization of Tekla workflows using scripts or API integrations (optional but encouraged)
• Assist in visualization and presentation workflows using Unreal Engine (optional but encouraged)

What You'll Bring

• Diploma or Degree in construction technology or Civil Engineering
• 2+ years experience in BIM, structural detailing, or technical project roles (Precast concrete, steel, or fabrication preferred)
• 2+ Years in Structural modelling and drafting
• Familiarity with BIM workflows and construction coordination
• Understanding of concrete structures, rebar detailing, and shop drawing development
• Experience communicating with engineers, drafters, and fabricators to resolve technical issues
• Proficiency with Tekla Structures is considered an asset
• Experience with C#, Python, or Tekla API is considered an asset
• Experience with Unreal Engine, 3D rendering and visualization, or VR/AR tools is considered and asset
• Ability to work in office in Calgary

Perks & Details

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $50,000 – $80,000 per year (commensurate with experience)

Additional Pay: Overtime eligible
