The primary responsibility is to produce quality printed materials for our customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and be able to work in a fast paced Print and Sign production environment and has the ability to multitask.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate a variety of printing equipment, including running Xerox iGen press and Polar cutting machines, and various bindery equipment.
  • Has knowledge in print production software such as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and preflight tools like Adobe Acrobat or Enfocus PitStop.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot printing equipment.
  • Perform quality control checks on printed materials.
  • Monitor the quality of printed material and take corrective actions.
  • Perform routine maintenance on printing equipment and machinery.
  • Maintain clean and safe work area, including all equipment and materials used in printing.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory levels for all materials, supplies, and equipment.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision or assistance needed.
  • Some heavy lifting up to 35lbs may be required
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.

Qualifications:

  • Work experience in a print shop or sign shop considered an asset.
  • Previous print and/or large/wide format presses knowledge/experience is an asset.
  • Previous experience in operating bindery equipment is an asset
  • Strong interpersonal skills e.g. working well with others, communication, positive attitude.
  • Good use of the English language, both oral and written

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $22.00 per hour
