Title: Senior IT Project Manager

Location: Toronto ON (Hybrid)

Role Overview

The IT Project Manager III will lead the delivery of complex, enterprise-level IT application projects across highly regulated business areas, including Legal, Compliance, Government, and Audit. This role is responsible for overseeing all phases of the project lifecycle, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget, and in alignment with business and regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate is a senior, hands-on project leader with strong Agile experience, excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of IT application projects using established project management methodologies.
  • Develop and manage project plans, scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams, including developers, analysts, vendors, and business stakeholders.
  • Partner closely with business teams to gather and refine requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to project governance, quality standards, and risk management practices.
  • Oversee testing activities, including defining test strategies and supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Facilitate UAT execution and develop rollout and implementation plans.
  • Prepare project status reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior leadership and steering committees.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analysis and support decision-making with data-driven insights.
  • Ensure appropriate use of Agile tools and processes, including JIRA.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years of experience as an IT Project Manager delivering enterprise-scale projects.
  • Strong experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe, or equivalent).
  • Hands-on experience using JIRA and related Agile project management tools.
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management experience.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple teams and complex stakeholder environments.
  • Strong understanding of IT application development and system integration projects.

Domain Knowledge

  • Experience working in regulated environments such as Legal, Compliance, Government, Audit, Financial Services, or Insurance.
  • Understanding of data handling, data privacy, governance, and data quality considerations.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams and understand technical challenges.

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to AI or Generative AI initiatives (governance, implementation, or rollout).
  • Agile certifications such as CSM, PSM, PMI-ACP, SAFe Scrum Master, or CSP.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
