Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and self-motivated Product Design Specialist to be on the forefront of Agriculture Ventilation product development. The individual will design and develop effective and innovative ventilation systems to meet customer expectations and business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Canarm Territory Managers, dealers and customers to understand and define customer needs
• Manage the design, layout, specifications and testing of new or enhanced ventilation systems
• Coordinate prototype construction and testing with production and engineering teams at head office
• Collaborate with engineering team to troubleshoot issues or improve system performance
• Develop testing protocols that align with industry standards and maintain all required documentation and reporting
• Participate in team meetings to provide updates on testing results and product readiness
• Gather feedback from dealers and customers to aid in continuous improvement of ventilation parts and systems

Qualifications:

• Degree in Agriculture Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the agricultural, livestock, or AgTech industry
• Required to have an in-depth understanding of agricultural ventilation systems and control systems
• Previous experience with product design within an agricultural or farming environment preferred
• Ability to read and create technical drawings and blueprints
• Must have a strong understanding of the mechanical principles behind air movement, fan capacity, fan placement, VFD technology and control systems
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills required
• Strong written and spoken communication skills needed. Will be required to interact with customers in a professional and engaging manner.
• Willingness to travel within Canada to attend trade shows and visit customer facilities.
• Proficient with AutoCAD. Solidworks proficiency preferred. Advanced MS Office required
• Creative and conceptual thinker who can push design ideas through all stages of product development and implementation
