Edmonton AB TG R, Canada Corbett Hall Early Education Program Full time $271,000 per year

The Corbett Hall Early Education Program (CHEEP) is housed at the University of Alberta and provides pre-kindergarten programming for children with special needs. We are looking for certified substitute teachers to support the program when a regular staff member is away.

The position involves:

  • working in the preschool classroom alongside 2 of the regular classroom team who know the children and routines well

  • working with children aged 3-5 years with a range of special needs

  • full day jobs: class times are between 8:25 - 3:30

  • half day jobs: class times are between 8:25 - 11:30 or 12:25 - 3:30

  • pay is commensurate with EPSB

  • parking at the U of A is covered

Requirements of substitute teachers:

- Bachelor of Education

- certified teacher (teaching certificate)

- criminal record check with vulnerable persons sector

- updated resume including references

- teaching experience with children with special needs and/or teaching experience in early education is preferred

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $271.00 per day
