Dispatcher

The Dispatcher is responsible for handling calls to and from drivers and the co-ordination of delivery schedules. He/she must keep good relations with customers, co-workers and the general public.

Dispatchers must safeguard the assets of the company and its drivers. They must be aware at all times of the safety aspect of the work site, the delivery site and road conditions and are responsible for the safety of the workers, contractors and public.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Dispatcher is responsible for receiving and coordinating fuel orders from customers. Orders may be received via phone calls, text and emails. He/she must keep good relations with customers, co-workers and the general public.

• Create and Review delivery schedules
• Dispatching all fuel loads for oilfield, farmers and intown customers.
• Work with drivers to ensure that deliveries are completed in a timely and safe manner.
• Maintain journey management documents and properly fill out dispatch sheets.
• Dispatch drivers for deliveries.
• Responsible for encouraging drivers to maintain, and submit accurate and timely truck reports, maintenance records, and daily checks.
• Monitor drivers progress and make changes as needed.
• See that all drivers maintain an efficient work schedule and perform duties and deliveries in a timely manner.
• Come to work mentally and physically prepared to perform all duties and be prepared to work extra time to complete work schedules or requirements.
• See that drivers follow proper loading and unloading procedures..
• Daily duties may include; emails, answering phones, serving customers, creating delivery documents in WTBS, creating customer call sheets, record keeping, housekeeping, tracking of customer locations, bulk fuel and oil sales, CTOs, spot check, etc..
• Coordinate with yard, shop and oil warehouse personnel.
• Order fuel for Bulk tank farm and cardlock daily.
• Monitor tanks and schedule loads as needed.
• Occasionally coordinate with other Max Fuel locations.
• Track number of railcars and communicate with the railyard to release cars as needed.
• Arrange training and maintain documents for drivers to go to the refinery.
• Ensure accurate cross over notes for fellow dispatchers.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
