Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting & Purchasing Assistant to support our finance and procurement operations. This role is responsible for day-to-day accounting tasks, data entry, invoice processing, and assisting with purchasing activities such as supplier coordination, price comparisons, and inventory support. The ideal candidate is reliable, analytical, and comfortable working with numbers and vendors.

Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Finance Support
- Enter and maintain accurate financial data (invoices, bills, expenses)
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Match invoices with purchase orders and delivery receipts
- Reconcile vendor statements and report discrepancies
- Assist with inventory counts
- Maintain organized financial records and filing systems
- Support bookkeeping tasks as assigned by the accountant or manager
Purchasing & Procurement Support
- Assist in sourcing products and supplies from vendors
- Request quotes, compare pricing, and help identify cost-saving opportunities
- Prepare and process purchase orders
- Communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, availability, and deliveries
- Track orders, follow up on delays, and resolve issues
- Maintain supplier lists and pricing databases
- Support inventory tracking and usage reporting

Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)
- 1–3 years of experience in accounting, purchasing, or administrative support
- Strong data entry and organizational skills
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) is an asset
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
