Senior Agile Coach, CoCounsel Data Platform
2 days ago
In this role, you will partner directly with the Akkadia and Counsel Storage teams to deliver secure, reliable, and compliant data services that underpin CoCounsel products and internal workflows at Thomson Reuters.
About the Role
In the role Senior Agile Coach, CoCounsel Data Platform, you will:
Establish and uphold Scrum fundamentals across teams: clear roles, refined Product Backlogs, Sprint Goals, and robust Definitions of Ready/Done.
Facilitate key Scrum events at scale: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective—driving focus, time‑boxing, and outcomes.
Partner with Product Owners to improve backlog clarity and value ordering; enable effective refinement, estimation, and slicing for incremental delivery.
Promote empiricism and transparency: make work, flow, and risks visible using Azure DevOps backlogs, boards, queries, and dashboards.
Coordinate cross‑team dependencies and integration needs through Scrum‑aligned synchronization (e.g., Scrum of Scrums) and clear interfaces.
Remove impediments rapidly by partnering with Engineering, Architecture, Security, Compliance, and Data Governance.
Support incremental release planning and readiness criteria so each Sprint produces a potentially shippable, compliant increment.
Introduce lightweight delivery metrics (e.g., Sprint Goal achievement, forecast accuracy, carryover, escaped defects) and use them to guide improvement.
Foster psychological safety, constructive feedback, and continuous learning consistent with Thomson Reuters leadership principles.
About You
You are a fit for the role Senior Agile Coach, CoCounsel Data Platform, if your background includes:
7+ years applying Scrum in complex, enterprise environments with multiple interdependent teams (platform, data engineering, and product).
Demonstrated success in implementing Scrum practices that improve planning reliability, transparency, and increment quality.
Proficiency with Azure DevOps for backlog management, boards, queries, reporting, and dashboarding.
Strong facilitation and conflict‑resolution skills; able to align diverse stakeholders (Product, Engineering).
Excellent communication skills and a pragmatic, outcome‑oriented approach.
