We are looking for a competent and dependable Sewer and Water Pipe Layer Helper. The successful candidate will receive extensive hands-on training and mentorship from our dynamic team. Individuals will also be given the opportunity to learn how to operate Heavy Equipment.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Basic understanding of PVC pipe installation and joint sealing with glue.
  • The ability to understanding and reading underground plans and specifications would be an asset.
  • Basic understanding of grade, slope elevations and operations of grade equipment.
  • Capability to hand-digging and grading trenches.
  • Helping laying sections of pipe and completing connections between pipe sections.
  • Operate cutting equipment to cut various types of piping materials.
  • Making connections to existing infrastructure, including sewer lines and water lines
  • Operate small-powered equipment and hand tools

Qualifications:

  • Minimum one (1) year of pipelayer helper experience
  • Strong work ethic and dependable
  • Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather
  • Ability to work long and unpredictable hours
  • Possess a positive attitude and team player
  • Ability to communicate effectively with crew members
  • Valid Class 5 Drivers License

REQUIREMENT OF EMPLOYMENT:

  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Must possess a valid Class 5 Drivers license
