Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Shift Supervisor to lead our retail team and oversee daily store operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of retail management. This role involves managing staff, optimizing sales, maintaining inventory, and ensuring exceptional customer service to drive store success. Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus to effectively serve diverse customer bases. The Store Manager will play a pivotal role in developing team members, implementing marketing strategies, and ensuring the store meets its financial and operational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise daily store operations, ensuring smooth functioning and high standards of customer service
  • Recruit, interview, train, and develop staff to build a motivated and efficient team
  • Manage merchandising, pricing strategies, and POS systems to maximize sales opportunities
  • Oversee purchasing, inventory control, and stock replenishment to maintain optimal product availability
  • Handle cash handling procedures, cashiering duties, and bookkeeping with accuracy
  • Implement marketing initiatives to attract new customers and retain existing clients
  • Conduct sales management activities including setting sales targets and monitoring performance
  • Develop and manage budgets while controlling expenses to meet financial objectives
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety regulations, and store procedures
  • Utilize strong negotiation skills for vendor relations and purchasing agreements
  • Maintain effective communication with staff and upper management through regular meetings and reporting
  • Organize training & development programs to enhance team skills and knowledge
  • Manage administrative tasks such as scheduling, payroll processing, and phone etiquette

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in retail management or store supervision with demonstrated leadership capabilities
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent time management abilities
  • Proficiency in merchandising, pricing strategies, POS systems, and cash handling procedures
  • Experience in recruiting, training & development, budgeting, and sales management
  • Exceptional communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are advantageous
  • Skilled in negotiation, marketing strategies, customer service excellence, and team supervision
  • Ability to handle administrative tasks including bookkeeping and payroll processing accurately
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a positive work environment
