ABOUT THE ROLE – ROUTE DRIVER (5 TON)

This is more than just a driving job. As a Route Driver, you are the face of Frozen Solid. You will operate a 5-ton truck to complete daily delivery routes, build strong relationships with our customers, merchandize and promote products, and ensure every delivery represents the high standards our clients expect. We're looking for someone who brings professionalism, strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering great customer experiences.

POSITION KEY INFORMATION

• Number of positions: 2
• Workdays: Position 1: Monday to Friday, Position 2: Tuesday to Saturday
• Start time: Between 5:00 AM and 8:00 AM
• Shift length: 8–10 hours

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Safely operate a 5-ton truck to complete assigned delivery routes carrying frozen, refrigerated, and dry products.
• Represent Frozen Solid professionally—provide clear communication, excellent customer service, and handle inquiries with confidence.
• Merchandise products at customer locations and promote brand visibility where required.
• Load and unload product efficiently, ensuring items are handled, rotated, and placed with care.
• Follow all traffic regulations and company safety standards at all times.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report defects or maintenance needs promptly.
• Use company systems to complete delivery logs, trip reports, and documentation accurately.
• Maintain organized delivery areas and ensure product integrity during all stages of transport.
• Obtain customer signatures and resolve issues with a positive, solution-focused approach.
• Perform basic vehicle checks (oil, fluids, tire pressure, etc.) and report major issues to the maintenance team.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License with a recent clean abstract (required).
• Minimum 2 years of 5-ton driving experience (required).
• Experience in the food industry.
• Strong customer service and communication skills (required).
• Merchandising or promotion experience considered a strong asset (required).
• Basic computer skills (Excel, MS Office) and familiarity with logistics systems.
• Experience with Samsara is an asset.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Sitting for extended periods while driving.
• Climbing in/out of the truck; regular bending, walking, and physical movement during loading/unloading.

PAY & BENEFITS

• Pay Rate: $24.88 – $28.61 per hour, based on experience
• Overtime pay
