Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Tutor to support students in achieving their academic goals. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching, strong communication skills, and experience working with children. This role involves providing personalized instruction in various subjects, with an emphasis on math, computer science, and some sciences. The Tutor will play a vital role in fostering a positive learning environment and helping students build confidence and skills for academic success.

Duties

  • Provide one-on-one or group tutoring sessions tailored to individual student needs
  • Assist students with understanding complex concepts in math, computer science, or other subjects
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
  • Maintain a positive, encouraging atmosphere that motivates students to engage actively in their education
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and school staff to track student development and address any challenges

Requirements

  • Experience working with children and familiarity with classroom environments
  • Prior tutoring experience or teaching background preferred
  • Strong knowledge of math, computer science, or related subjects
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning styles and needs
  • Proficiency in computer skills and educational software tools
  • Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine desire to help students succeed

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $19.00-$22.50 per hour

Expected hours: 5 – 15 per week
