Resolve Consulting works with small business owners to help them understand their numbers, manage their own bookkeeping, and make confident financial decisions. We are growing and looking for a Jr. Consultant - Small Business to join our growing and dynamic team.

This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently. You must be confident in bookkeeping fundamentals and QuickBooks, and able to take initiative without constant direction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day bookkeeping support for small business clients
  • Accurate data entry and reconciliation in QuickBooks Online
  • Reviewing financial records for accuracy and completeness
  • Supporting month-end processes and client reporting
  • Administrative support including document management, client communication, and scheduling
  • Identifying issues or discrepancies and proactively flagging them
  • Following established processes while also improving systems where needed

Required Qualifications

  • Strong administrative background with proven organizational skills
  • QuickBooks or bookkeeping experience is required (this is not a training-from-scratch role)
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks without micromanagement
  • Strong initiative — you see what needs to be done and do it
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable handling confidential financial information

Preferred (Nice to Have)

  • Experience working with small businesses or professional services
  • Post-secondary education in accounting, bookkeeping, business, or a related field
  • Familiarity with Canadian small business bookkeeping and HST
  • Post-secondary degree in business, accounting, management or related.

Job Types: Part-time, Casual

Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week
