What are we looking for?
- 6–8 years of municipal or public works experience, including 4+ years in a supervisory or management role.
- Post-secondary education in Civil Engineering, Municipal Infrastructure, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong technical knowledge of roads, water/wastewater, and waste management operations.
- Proven experience with budgeting, compliance reporting, and project coordination.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid DZ Driver's License and Ontario Traffic Control (Book 7) certification (or ability to obtain).
- Certified Roads Superintendent (CRS) and/or water/wastewater certifications considered assets.
- Commitment to safety, customer service, and continuous improvement.
What will you be doing?
- Oversee day-to-day operations of roads, water, wastewater, waste management, and transit.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislation and standards.
- Provide leadership and direction to staff, supporting training, performance, and succession planning.
- Prepare and manage operating and capital budgets; monitor and control expenditures.
- Coordinate maintenance, inspections, and effective use of equipment, vehicles, and materials.
- Respond to operational or weather-related emergencies as needed.
- Review and recommend operational improvements, procedures, and service levels.
- Prepare reports and updates for the CAO and Council, and engage with residents and contractors.
40 HOURS PER WEEK STARTING AT $61.45 PER HOUR
