Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Kitchen Manager to oversee daily operations in a vibrant food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant management experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves managing kitchen staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining high-quality food preparation and presentation. A background in food industry operations, hospitality, and team management is essential to succeed in this position.

Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
  • Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure quality standards are met
  • Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards
  • Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
  • Implement and monitor restaurant policies to optimize efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Lead team meetings, facilitate effective communication among staff, and foster a positive work environment
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain high service standards
  • Assist with interviewing potential staff members and onboarding new employees
  • Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area in accordance with health codes and safety protocols

Experience

  • Proven experience in restaurant management or food service leadership roles
  • Supervising experience within the food industry or hospitality sector
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
  • Experience in managing restaurant operations, including inventory control and cash handling
  • Background in hospitality or hotel management is a plus
  • Barista experience or bar management background is advantageous but not required
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage multiple priorities effectively

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
