Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Kitchen Manager to oversee daily operations in a vibrant food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant management experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves managing kitchen staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining high-quality food preparation and presentation. A background in food industry operations, hospitality, and team management is essential to succeed in this position.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure quality standards are met
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards
- Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
- Implement and monitor restaurant policies to optimize efficiency and customer satisfaction
- Lead team meetings, facilitate effective communication among staff, and foster a positive work environment
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain high service standards
- Assist with interviewing potential staff members and onboarding new employees
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area in accordance with health codes and safety protocols
Experience
- Proven experience in restaurant management or food service leadership roles
- Supervising experience within the food industry or hospitality sector
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Experience in managing restaurant operations, including inventory control and cash handling
- Background in hospitality or hotel management is a plus
- Barista experience or bar management background is advantageous but not required
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage multiple priorities effectively

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
