We are looking to add a full time in field diesel heavy equipment mechanic to our team. We operate a fleet of 30 + pieces of heavy equipment, heavy trucks and trailers.

Your duties will include:

  • conducting diagnostics to determine faults
  • planned maintenance and mid-life overhauls
  • general repairs and maintenance
  • component and engine rebuilds
  • sourcing parts required for repairs
  • completing repair in the field and in a shop
  • completing reports and filing equipment repair records
  • diagnose and repair electrical systems
  • diagnose and repair hydraulic systems

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 421A Heavy Equipment Technician license (considering 4th year apprentice as well)
  • Valid GZ license
  • Attention to detail and safety awareness
  • Comfortable working outdoors in any season (Rain or Shine)
  • 3 years experience in a mechanic role working on heavy equipment (421A Required)
  • High School Diploma
  • Reliable transportation to get to our shop
  • 40-50 hours/ week
  • Organization skills to keep the shop area tidy and tools organized
  • Ability to work alone or with others to complete repairs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • DZ license
  • Road side service experience
  • Experience with diagnostic software and electronic document/time keeping
  • Previous experience in welding, fabrication, and heavy equipment maintenance is an asset

You are not required to have your own tools as we will provide all the tools required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $32.00-$45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
