JOB DESCRIPTION
The Branch Manager is responsible for leading the inventory control and warehouse teams at the branch, ensuring operational efficiency, safety, and accuracy in all aspects of distribution. In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop and mentor team members, fostering a culture where everyone is valued and contributes to the branch's success. You will coordinate workflows, set schedules, and ensure products are available when our customers need them—helping to make Dexter the company of choice.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise warehouse and inventory control staff, ensuring smooth daily operations.
- Oversee the receipt, storage, handling, and redistribution of containers and products.
- Operate equipment safely and efficiently to move, store, and organize inventory.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, shipment documentation, and tracking systems.
- Ensure compliance with warehouse safety protocols, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
- Train, mentor, and develop warehouse employees to maximize productivity and performance.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational accuracy and cost-effectiveness.
- Perform additional duties as needed to support branch goals.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- College degree in business, supply chain, logistics, or a related field; or equivalent 10 years of related experience.
- Minimum of 4 years' supervisory experience in distribution, warehouse operations, or inventory management.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
- Proven ability to manage schedules, set priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control software.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely and effectively.
- Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.
