Part-Time
• $25/hr (coaching)
• $40/hr (private lessons)

About the Role

Tumble City is hiring a team player Multi-role Gymnastics Coach certified at COMP 1 to teach Recreational (ages 3–12), XCEL Pre-Competitive, Gym & Tumble, and Cheer Tumbling.

You must LOVE working with kids, communicate well, and bring positive, upbeat energy to every class

COMP 1 certification is required.

Schedule

We are currently hiring for the following blocks:

Fall–Spring (Sept–June)

  • Mondays: 3:00–8:00 PM
  • Thursdays: 3:00–7:00 PM
  • Fridays: 4:00–8:00 PM
  • Saturdays: 8:30 AM–3:00 PM
  • Sundays: 8:30 AM–12:00 PM (optional)
  • Additional Shift options like camps, field trips, events, parties, and more - if desired

Summer - Flexible up to Full time

This schedule is not flexible unless multiple hires are successful.

What You'll Do

  • Coach COMP 1, XCEL, Recreational (3–12), and Cheer Tumbling
  • Spot safely & teach proper skill progressions (cartwheels → aerials → tucks)
  • Deliver engaging, structured lesson plans
  • Communicate clearly with athletes, families and staff
  • Maintain a positive, safe learning environment
  • Work with other departments and leadership collectively (sharing space, supporting each other etc) Our facility offers parkour and cheer.
  • Support field trips, birthday parties, Pro-D camps, workshops (extra hours available)

What We're Looking For

  • COMP 1 Gymnastics BC Certification (Required)
  • Experience with XCEL, Rec Gym, and Tumbling
  • Strong spotting skills & safety awareness
  • Excellent communication with children and parents
  • Upbeat, reliable, and collaborative
  • Criminal Record Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Comfortable working evenings & weekends

Bonus (not required):

  • Preschool gymnastics experience
  • NCCP Foundations or additional NCCP courses
  • CPR/First Aid
  • Skilled in mentoring junior coaches
  • Management experience
