Overview

We are seeking a friendly and motivated Retail Sales Associate to join our team. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with product selection, and ensuring the sales floor is well-organized and inviting. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, retail experience, and a passion for helping customers find what they need.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store
  • Operate POS systems efficiently for sales transactions, returns, and exchanges
  • Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays
  • Manage inventory levels through stock replenishment and inventory checks
  • Handle cashiering duties including cash handling, processing payments, and balancing registers
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive shopping experience
  • Assist in supervising store operations when needed
  • Maintain phone etiquette when responding to customer inquiries via phone

Skills

  • Experience with POS systems and basic retail math for transactions and inventory management
  • Ability to work alone or on a team
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating a welcoming environment
  • Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and sales analysis
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and assist customers in a retail setting

This position is ideal for individuals who are looking for temporary employment and enjoy engaging with customers.

Job Type: Temporary

Contract length: 5 months

Pay: $17.00-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
