The Judge & Jury, Burlington's favorite British Pub, is hiring a dedicated Full-Time Kitchen Labourer to support our busy culinary operations. This is a vital role perfect for someone who takes pride in efficiency and contributes positively to a friendly team environment.

What You Will Be Doing (Key Responsibilities):

  • Prep Master: Performing essential kitchen preparation, including washing, peeling, and cutting high volumes of vegetables, meats, and other ingredients according to standard recipes.
  • Portioning & Organization: Accurately portioning ingredients and meals to maintain cost control and consistency.
  • Stocking & Inventory: Receiving, rotating, and stocking deliveries; ensuring all fridges, freezers, and dry storage areas are clean and organized.
  • Support & Expo: Assisting on the expo line during peak hours to ensure plates are clean and orders are moving efficiently.
  • Cleaning & Sanitation: Maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness throughout the kitchen, including washing dishes, sweeping, mopping, and taking out trash.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience: Previous experience in a high-volume kitchen environment is a strong asset, but we are willing to train a motivated individual.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs comfortably.
  • Attitude: A positive, team-oriented attitude with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Availability: Must be available for a Full-Time schedule, including evenings and weekends (essential in a pub environment).
  • Certification: Valid Food Handler Certification is an asset (or willingness to obtain one).
