I'm looking for an experienced Senior Mortgage Underwriter to manage all underwriting, document collection, and file progression from completed application through to funding and compliance. This is a dedicated role — you'll work exclusively with me as the lead broker, not a pool of agents.

What You'll Do


• Take full ownership of A & B residential files (80% A / 20% B)


• Gather remaining documents, structure deals, underwrite, and manage conditions


• Communicate confidently with lenders and clients


• Ensure clean, compliant, well-managed files from start to finish

I handle all sales, initial document collection and initial applications — you take over once the file is ready for underwriting to completion including compliance.

Who You Are


• Licensed in Alberta


• Minimum 5 years mortgage broker/underwriting experience


• Strong knowledge of lender guidelines


• Organized, accurate, and solutions-focused


• Able to work independently without micromanagement


• Calm and confident under pressure


• Committed to delivering an outstanding client experience

Role Highlights


• In-office, South Edmonton (near South Common)


• Monday–Friday, 9–5 with flexible start time


• Velocity platform


• Optional shorter workday if you work through lunch

Compensation:

Commission-based split (independent contractor via DLC Mortgage Connection). Senior underwriters with 10+ years mortgage broker / underwritting experience can earn $100,000+ annually.
