Engineering Manager, responsible for the following:

  • Implement design processes for all Engineered products and services.
  • Create and maintain design tools all Engineered products and services.
  • Provide technical guidance for company personnel.
  • Attend client meetings as a technical resource.
  • Interact with designers for the purposes of creating, revising, and reviewing fabrication drawings.
  • Provide guidance to Quality department for work in progress.
  • Communicating with Design Survey, Authorized Inspectors, and 3rd Party Inspectors as required.
  • Checking of all fabrication drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance to all applicable client specifications, Codes, and Regulations.
  • Responsible member for pressure vessel and pressure piping design using ASME BPVC, ASME B31.3, CSA Z662, CSA B51, and API Codes.
  • Maintain current knowledge on applicable Codes and Regulations.
  • Executing finite analysis of pressure vessels and piping.
  • Checking nozzle loading per WRC-537 / 107.
  • Design of all structural components (saddles, skirts, lugs, davits, skids, platforms, pipe supports, etc.).
  • Design of custom flanges and forgings.
  • Create detailed calculation packages for structural skids, including pile layouts.
  • Assist in the preparation of equipment proposals.
  • Review customer specifications as necessary.
  • Occasional travel for purposes of client meetings or equipment inspection.

Key Skills:

  • Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • This role requires a highly organized and detail oriented individual.
  • Familiarity with Compress and Stress Analysis Software considered an asset.

Education and Qualifications:

  • P. Eng. – Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent.
  • Member of APEGA in good standing.
  • Member of EGBC and PEO considered an asset.
  • Minimum 10 + years mechanical engineering experience.
  • Previous Pressure Vessel Design experience.
  • Experience with piping and pipe stress analysis.
  • Must be familiar with ABSA requirements.
  • Applicable knowledge with codes (CSA, ASME, API).
  • Previous Oil and Gas experience considered an asset.
