Heavy Equipment Technician (HET)

Overview:

We are seeking a self-motivated Heavy Equipment Technician to join a growing geothermal drilling team. The role involves performing maintenance and repairs on a variety of equipment, ensuring reliability and efficiency in operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on:
  • Drilling rigs (approximately 75% of time)
  • Other heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, and grouting equipment (20%)
  • Small equipment including pumps, heaters, etc. (5%)
  • Travel to geothermal installation sites for servicing and minor repairs (service vehicle provided).
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions year-round.

Qualifications:

  • Registered Red Seal 421A certification.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, equipment and vehicle electronics, and electrical systems.
  • Proactive, can-do attitude.
  • Valid G-class driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work occasional shifts (12 PM–8 PM or weekends); standard hours are 7 AM–5 PM.
  • Must be able to commute or relocate prior to starting work.
