Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Paramedic to join our emergency medical services team. In this role, you will provide advanced medical care and safe transportation to patients in urgent and critical situations. The ideal candidate is calm under pressure, communicates effectively, and demonstrates a compassionate approach to patient care. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to deliver timely and effective medical services in diverse environments.
Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to emergency calls and assess patient conditions on-site.
- Provide advanced life support, including airway management, medication administration, and patient stabilization.
- Operate and maintain emergency vehicles and medical equipment.
- Accurately document patient care reports and treatment provided.
- Collaborate with emergency responders, healthcare professionals, and hospital staff.
- Safely lift and transport patients using proper techniques.
- Communicate clearly with patients, families, and team members.
- Follow safety protocols and medical guidelines during emergency interventions.
Qualifications
- Certified Paramedic from a BC accredited program.
- Previous experience in hospital or emergency medical settings.
- Strong knowledge of emergency response procedures, trauma care, and life support techniques.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, procedures, and medication protocols.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including heavy lifting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional, resilient, and committed to patient-centered care.
