Role Description

This is a full-time position for a Substation Specialist located on-site in Cambridge, ON. The Substation Specialist will be responsible for supporting the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of utility substation components and systems, including transformers, breakers, switchgear, and other electrical equipment. The role involves coordinating with team members, preparing detailed reports, providing technical training, and ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in Utilities and a strong understanding of substation components and systems
• Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively work in a team and with clients
• Proficiency in Forklift Operation to handle heavy equipment and materials safely
• Capacity to provide Training and mentorship to other team members
• Adaptability and organizational skills from experience, such as in industries like Food & Beverage
• Familiarity with electrical safety standards and procedures
• Strong problem-solving abilities and technical acumen
• Relevant certifications, licenses, or diplomas in electrical or utility-related fields
