Overview

Join our team as a Print Production Specialist (PPS) and play a key role in bringing projects to life

Reporting to the Manager, Production Planning, the PPS is responsible for coordinating and managing assigned print projects to ensure timely completion and accuracy. This role oversees the transfer of print-ready files to production, verifies alignment with client specifications, and compiles all necessary details in the job bag for smooth workflow across departments. Acting as the primary contact for technical file issues, proof changes, and production updates, the PPS also supports specific Sales and Customer Service inquiries. ** At present, this is a hybrid position, working from our Scarborough plant location **

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Create and validate production orders, estimates, and schedules.

· Ensure compliance with received files; communicate discrepancies to CSR/Sales.

· Coordinate with customers and internal teams when files or quotes don't match.

· Prepare accurate job bags with all required details for smooth production; request file corrections as needed.

· Work with purchasing to confirm material arrival dates and issue purchase orders for outsourced parts.

· Support afternoon/evening shifts during peak financial season (approx. 2 months).

· Perform other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

· Proficient with ERP systems, Word, Excel, Outlook.

· Strong understanding of print processes and imposition.

· Problem-solving and ability to meet tight deadlines.

· Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

· Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

· Knowledge of prepress and imposition tools for file validation and correction

SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS:

· Post-secondary education in Graphic Communications Management or related field AND/OR 2+ years of print industry project management experience.

· Strong English communication skills: French is an asset.
