Position Overview:Compugen is seeking a GIS Application Support Specialist to provide expert assistance for a suite of geospatial software solutions, primarily focused on ESRI and FME Safe Software. This role involves supporting web map application design, FME workbench development, ESRI Portal Enterprise content management, publishing best practices, database optimization, software upgrade readiness reviews, and guidance on emerging GeoAI deep learning capabilities.
This will be for an initial 1 year contract with possible extensions.
- Maintain and optimize Oracle database operations for high performance.
- Develop and support ArcGIS Enterprise content promotion scripts.
- Review system architecture to ensure ESRI upgrade readiness (Portal Enterprise or 12.x).
- Provide support for application development, including custom workflows and replacements outside existing capital projects.
- Troubleshoot and enhance FME workbench/form scripts.
- Assist with ad-hoc solution requests from business users, including preliminary consultation, scoping, and prototyping.
- Manage projects related to overall GIS support services.
- 10+ years of experience supporting ESRI software (ArcGIS Enterprise up to 11.5, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online).
- 10+ years working with provincial systems and databases.
- 5+ years supporting Geocortex products (VertiGIS).
- 5+ years working with FME Workbench (Safe Software).
- Proven expertise in integrating third-party applications with ESRI tools.
