Job Description We're looking for a Software Engineering Manager who is passionate about leading and developing talented engineers while driving the delivery of high-quality, scalable software. You'll manage a team of full stack and backend engineers, foster technical excellence, and collaborate cross-functionally to bring innovative products to life. RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with product management, QA, and architecture teams to deliver high-quality software on time and within scope.
  • Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of scalable applications and APIs built primarily in Java.
  • Ensure engineering best practices across code quality, testing, security, and deployment.
  • Drive sprint planning, resource allocation, and performance reviews for your team.
  • Support career development by providing clear feedback, guidance, and growth opportunities.
  • Contribute to technical strategy, architecture discussions, and long-term planning.
  • Champion the use of modern DevOps tools, including Docker, to support efficient development and deployment.
  • Identify process improvements to optimize team productivity and software quality.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 5+ years of software development experience and 2+ years in a leadership or management role.
  • Proficiency in Java and familiarity with frameworks such as Spring Boot.
  • Experience designing and delivering RESTful APIs and microservices.
  • Working knowledge of Docker and modern CI/CD practices.
  • Experience managing software projects in an Agile environment.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, performance optimization, and secure coding practices.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Experience managing full stack teams (frontend + backend) preferred.
  • Background in fintech, enterprise SaaS, or other regulated technology environments preferred.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure preferred.
