Our multidisciplinary team of over 100 specialists is Canada's undisputed leader in health law. We are the only firm serving health care institutions to achieve a Band 1 rating in Chambers Canada for Health Care, with Band 1 ratings in the Disputes and Corporate Commercial and Regulatory Health Care categories. We are trusted to provide innovative and effective legal services to our clients through our integrated, sector-wide approach.

• This is an opportunity for the right candidates to join leading professionals in the space and grow BLG's corporate and commercial health law practice, working directly with sophisticated clients, and an opportunity to train and mentor a significant team of junior lawyers eager to focus on the health sector.
• The ideal candidates will have 10 to 20 years' experience practicing in Corporate Commercial law with a demonstrated track record of advising health sector clients. This experience may have been gained from a major law firm or corporate legal department.
• As a reputable lawyer in a complex and dynamic industry and a trusted advisor, candidates should point to experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • advising hospitals or other health services providers on corporate, commercial and governance matters, including in respect of corporate structuring and reorganizations, integrations, commercial contracts, procurement, strategic alliances, joint ventures, public-private partnerships, financings, and regulatory compliance matters
  • providing regulatory advice and opinions, including in respect of changes in law and regulation impacting business models and care delivery limitations and opportunities
• Further, ideal candidates will be entrepreneurial and client-focused, have sound judgement, and demonstrate strong inter-personal skills. We expect certain successful candidates will quickly assume leading roles in BLG's national Health Sector practice. As BLG is currently in growth mode, we are open to multiple candidates from a variety of backgrounds who have some or all of the skill set noted above.
