Personal Support Worker (PSW) – Overnight Recovery Care
Location: Alliston, ON
Start Date: January 18, 2026
Schedule: Overnight shifts (Sunday nights into Monday afternoons, with potential extension depending on recovery needs)
Employment Type: Part-time / Short-term with possible extension
Position Overview:
ExcellCare is seeking a compassionate and reliable Personal Support Worker to support a private client in Alliston who is recovering from an ankle injury. This role focuses on overnight supervision, safety, and assistance with personal care to promote a smooth and comfortable recovery at home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overnight monitoring and supervision
- Assistance with mobility, transfers, and toileting as needed
- Support with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Ensuring a safe environment during overnight hours
- Light meal preparation and hydration support
- Providing companionship and reassurance
- Observing and reporting any changes in condition
Qualifications:
- Valid PSW certificate (or equivalent experience)
- Experience supporting clients during post-injury or post-operative recovery
- Comfortable with overnight shifts
- Reliable transportation to Alliston
- CPR/First Aid certification (preferred)
- Vulnerable Sector Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Professional, compassionate, and dependable
