The Senior Manager, Strategic Business Analysis is a pivotal leader within the Transformation Office, serving as a strategic advisor and execution catalyst for enterprise-wide initiatives. This role transcends traditional analysis by integrating strategic planning, governance, and delivery oversight to ensure programs achieve measurable business outcomes. This role influences senior leadership decisions, shapes transformation priorities, and drives operational excellence across Global Wealth Management (GWM). Acting as a trusted partner to executives, this role ensures alignment between business priorities and execution, mitigates enterprise risks, and embeds a culture of continuous improvement.

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

  • Translate enterprise strategies into actionable programs and detailed business requirements, influencing prioritization and investment decisions at senior leadership forums.
  • Act as a senior-level integrator across business units, PMO, technology, and external vendors, ensuring clarity, alignment, and momentum on complex, cross-border initiatives and conduct interviews, workshops, and surveys to gather, analyze, prioritize, and validate detailed business and functional requirements from stakeholders.
  • Provide executive-ready insights through advanced analytics, scenario modeling, and cost-benefit analysis to identify trends, inform strategic decisions, and mitigate delivery risks.
  • Drive process optimization and embed best practices across programs and BAU, fostering a culture of efficiency, accountability, and client-centricity.
  • Map and document existing business processes, workflows, and systems to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and pain points.
  • Design and document optimized processes, workflows, and solutions aligned with business objectives and strategic priorities.
  • Elicit, validate, and prioritize business requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and data analysis.
  • Compare current and future states to identify changes needed in processes, systems, and organizational structures.
  • Evaluate proposed solutions for feasibility, alignment with requirements, and impact on business operations.
  • Prepare detailed business requirements documents (BRDs), functional specifications, and process maps using industry-standard tools.
  • Develop and present executive-ready insights, high-impact reports, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and governance committees, enabling effective oversight and enterprise-level decision making.
  • Identify inefficiencies in current workflows and recommend process changes or new systems to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • Post-secondary degree with 10+ years of progressive experience in strategic business analysis, program management, and transformation leadership; MBA considered an asset.
  • A proven track record in enterprise-level initiatives, regulatory programs, and operational excellence.
  • Deep knowledge of Wealth Management and/or Asset Management businesses, with a strong preference for candidates who have hands-on operational experience in these domains.
  • Expertise in Business Analysis, Portfolio/Program/Project Management, Agile methodologies; PMP, CBAP, and PMI-PBA considered assets.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders, negotiate complex decisions, and lead through ambiguity.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills for executive audiences and strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
