Civil Designer

Overview
Your role
- Produce plans, 3D models and 2D drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D, or Microstation, InRoads.
- Generate existing surfaces / sub-surfaces with survey data, site grading, drainage system, earthwork models with Civil 3D / InRoads / OpenRoads to perform civil design and take-off quantity calculations.
- Develop underground services / utility plans.
- Review rough sketches, drawings, specifications, and other engineering data received from civil engineers to ensure that they conform to design concepts.
- Implement alignments profiles, and x-sections of sites / roads.
- Prepare engineering drawings.
- Other duties as applicable.
About You
- College certification or BS (preferred but not required) in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of design and drafting experience in Civil Engineering.
- Must have experience in 2D and 3D designs for site grading, earthworks, drainage systems, underground services, utilities, roadways, and other infrastructure systems.
- Mining industrial plant and facility experience preferred.
- Experience in hydrology is a plus.
- Thorough knowledge of applicable theories, practices, and accepted office procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret map and land survey.
- Must be proficient with Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Microstation, InRoads/ OpenRoads.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English, ability to maintain confidential information critical.
