Overview

We are seeking a friendly and attentive Gas Station Attendant to provide excellent customer service at our fuel station. This role involves assisting customers with fueling, handling transactions, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the station. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be organized, and have a focus on safety and efficiency. Bilingual abilities and experience in retail sales or cashiering are considered valuable assets. This position offers an opportunity to develop customer service skills in a fast-paced environment while ensuring a positive experience for all patrons.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and assist with fueling their vehicles efficiently
  • Operate POS systems for cash handling and processing payments accurately
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and upselling convenience store items when appropriate
  • Maintain cleanliness of the station, including pumps, store area, and surrounding grounds
  • Manage inventory levels of fuel and store products, restocking as needed
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed during fueling operations and in the store area
  • Handle cash transactions with accuracy and integrity
  • Assist customers with product demos or information about available merchandise
  • Maintain organized merchandising displays to enhance sales opportunities
  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth station operations

Experience

  • Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service is preferred but not required; training will be provided
  • Multilingual skills or bilingual abilities (e.g., English and Spanish) are a plus for serving diverse customers
  • Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and basic math is advantageous
  • Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and organizational skills, are essential
  • Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Demonstrated ability to provide friendly, professional service with excellent interpersonal skills

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
