The wage is negotiable dependent on experience, management skills: we are willing to talk We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Truck and Trailer Mechanic to join our team as a working mechanic/shop foreman. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in maintaining and repairing trucks, trailers and other equipment as well as doing CVIP inspections. This role requires proficiency in using hand and power tools, as well as a solid understanding of electrical systems. As a Mechanic you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and functionality for our customers, many who have been loyal customers of over 30 years.

Duties

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various types of trucks and trailers, including inspection, diagnosis, and troubleshooting.
  • Work with electrical systems to diagnose issues and perform necessary repairs.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance performed and parts used.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with customers regarding repair needs and timelines.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to safety standards.

Requirements

  • Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in trailer repair or related fields.
  • Heavy duty licensed mechanic
  • Experience with farm machinery is a plus.
  • Strong customer service skills to effectively interact with clients.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Must be able to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks
  • A valid driver's license

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.90-$55.00 per hour
