About the role

Thiess Mount Pleasant Operation is seeking Experienced Excavator Operators with open cut experience and refined operating skills in Heavy Earthmoving equipment including Liebherr 9600, 996, 9400, 9350 and Cat 6060 Excavators. Hitachi excavator skill set will also be considered.
You will be required to work on a rotating lifestyle roster 5/4 4/5 5/5 that includes day, night and weekend work.

About you

• Proven abilities in operating heavy earth moving machinery in a mining environment
• Good communication skills with the willingness to be part of a high-performance team
• Commitment to the highest safety, community and environmental standards
• Experience in operating large heavy plant
• Initiative and a flexible approach to work, with a proactive approach and productive mindset
• Ability to work to direction and be self motivated
