Location: Kingsville, ON - On Site

Duration: 10 Weeks

Spring Internship Cycle: June-August

Mastronardi offers a structured, 10-week internship program that runs three times per year, during the Spring, Summer and Fall. This internship provides students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience, develop skills, contribute to meaningful projects, and learn from industry professionals.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • To promote a "Customer First" attitude at all levels of the company in all activities.
  • Assist sales staff personnel with entering customer and purchase orders.
  • Ensure all documentation is completed for every transaction, and tracking the external system update (Itrade, FoodLink, EDI, etc.).
  • Input orders correctly, meeting deadlines and communicate to Operations/Commodity Managers.
  • Assist sales staff personnel with logistic duties ensuring customer service.
  • Quickly develops into the key subject matter expert (SME) with respect to our internal systems (NAV), within their Pod and the sales team at large.
  • Select samples and mail packages.
  • Faxing and distribution of information for Sales Team.
  • Files all sales orders (pink copy) and faxed orders.
  • Maintains all company information confidential.
  • Will follow all company rules and regulations at all times.

Education/Background Requirements:

  • College Diploma in Business, Marketing, Communication or comparable related experience.
  • Bilingualism in either French or Spanish considered an asset.
  • Attention to detail is a must.
  • Excellent internal and external communication skills are mandatory.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products, and ERP systems is an asset.
  • Ability and willingness to travel when necessary.

Working Conditions:

  • Office environment.
  • High energy and fast paced, always a busy atmosphere.
  • Capable of lifting at least 40 lbs.
  • Position requires sitting, standing, walking, and bending on a regular basis.
  • Must have manual dexterity to perform computer skills.
  • Occasional refrigerated warehouse tours which maintain temperatures of 50 degrees.
