Fredericton NB EB G, Canada Spark Collaborative Practices Full time

Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Spark Collaborative Practices

Locations: Fredericton/Woodstock, New Brunswick

Position Type: Full-Time or Part-Time

Start Date: This role is available to begin as soon as a suitable candidate is identified, with flexibility to accommodate notice periods and transition planning

Work Model: In-person service delivery with hybrid options available depending on role structure, caseload composition, and clinical need

Salary Range: $38.50-$50.00 per hour

Join a Supportive, Neuroaffirming, Multidisciplinary Team

Spark Collaborative Practices is a growing integrated pediatric practice on the East Coast, serving children and families across Saint John, Fredericton and Woodstock, New Brunswick. Our work is built on strong core values: family-centred care, trauma-informed practice, and neurodiversity-affirming support.

You'll be part of a collaborative, values-aligned multidisciplinary team that includes Speech- Language Pathologists (SLPs) and Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs). As an SLP, you'll contribute your speech-language expertise by working with children and their families, or while collaborating closely with other team members when interdisciplinary care is helpful. Our work is grounded in respectful, relationship-based care that honours each child's communication and individuality.

This role is ideal for an SLP who wants to do ethical, high-quality clinical work within a supportive environment that prioritizes both clinician wellbeing and superb client care. Success in this role looks like thoughtful clinical reasoning, strong collaboration with families and colleagues, and the ability to deliver high-quality care in a way that is sustainable over time.

Why You'll Love Working Here

  • We support clinicians who are energized by dynamic cases that require critical thinking, collaboration, and adaptive clinical decision-making
  • We provide a highly integrated team culture — you're never practicing in isolation, and have access to meaningful collaboration with experienced clinicians across disciplines
  • Reflection is built into our structure through protected non-client and supervision time, collaborative case consultation, and leadership that expects thoughtful clinical reasoning rather than unquestioned cooperation
  • We believe ethical, effective care depends on sustainable practice, and we intentionally design roles that respect clinician capacity, boundaries, and longevity
  • We offer a values-aligned environment grounded in neuroaffirming and trauma-informed care
  • There are many opportunities to grow in areas you are passionate about (AAC, early language, literacy, autism, feeding, GLP, and more)

What You'll Do

As an SLP on our team, you will:

  • Provide speech-language assessment and therapy for children and youth with diverse communication profiles
  • Use evidence-informed, child-led approaches aligned with family priorities
  • Collaborate closely with families, educators, and internal team members (SLPs, BCBAs, and other professionals)
  • Contribute to goal planning that respects neurodivergent communication, autonomy, and identity
  • Complete clinical documentation and reports in a timely, organized manner
  • Participate in a collaborative clinic culture focused on learning, reflection, and support

We're Looking for Someone Who

  • Values neurodiversity-affirming practice and strengths-based goal setting
  • Is passionate about family-centred, respectful care
  • Enjoys working within a multidisciplinary team and values collaboration
  • Communicates clearly and professionally with families and colleagues
  • Brings warmth, clinical curiosity, and a strong commitment to ethical practice
  • May possess the following additional assets:
  • Experience with AAC, gestalt language processing, and play-based approaches
  • Familiarity with client-led goal setting and collaborative coaching models
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary and/or family-centered environments

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Registration and good standing with The Regulatory College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of New Brunswick (RCASLPNB)
  • Clear vulnerable sector check
  • Access to a reliable vehicle and a valid drivers license
  • Experience working with pediatric populations is an asset
  • New graduates are welcome to apply; mentorship and support are available depending on fit and role structure)

How we Support Your Practice

  • Thoughtful, flexible and ethical scheduling practices with realistic caseload expectations to support work–life balance
  • Autonomy in clinical decision-making within a supportive, consultative framework
  • Protected non-client and supervision time
  • Additional billing and administrative support
  • Opportunities for continuing education in neuroaffirming and trauma-informed practice
  • Access to diverse therapy materials, AAC tools, and supportive team consultation
  • Opportunities for supervision, mentoring, and program development

Compensation & Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation package designed to support long-term sustainability and clinician wellbeing, including:

  • Compensation is aligned with experience and role structure. Early-career, experienced, and senior clinicians are compensated within distinct bands that reflect clinical expertise, scope, and responsibility. Specific ranges are discussed transparently during the interview process.
  • Paid vacation and personal time
  • Access to benefits program following the probationary period
  • Self-directed bonus structure and performance incentives available
