Job Summary
As a
Saw Cutter
, you will set up simple fabrication equipment under the direction of the Machining Supervisor. Successful candidates will be responsible for moving materials and fabricated parts to specified areas as well as fabricating certain parts when instructed.

Job Duties

  • Use of computer to coordinate jobs
  • Move materials and products
  • Assist the Machine Operator as required
  • Record and report work order information and production times as required
  • Responsible for quality job functions. To include remaining alert for unsatisfactory quality of equipment parts received in their assigned working area
  • Discontinue work process and immediately notify supervisor of all defects in quality
  • Keep the working area clean and orderly at all times
  • Leave equipment and materials in proper place and order at the end of shift
  • Use of Forklifts may be required
  • Comply with all applicable OHSA, ESA, and other provincial regulatory laws, as well as company safety policies
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Machining Supervisor or Senior Leadership team

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
  • Ability to measure parts accurately
  • Strong organization skills
  • Responsible for safe operation and use of hand tools

Physical Requirements

  • Required to use foot and hand controls to operate machinery
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Hourly Wage: $20-25 /hour based on experience

  • Additional 1$ Afternoon shift Premium**
