Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Millwright to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery and equipment in various agricultural settings. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, electrical components, and the ability to read schematics. The Millwright will play a crucial role in ensuring operational efficiency and reliability within the facility.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair machinery and equipment in accordance with specifications and safety standards.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs to minimize downtime.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to understand machine functions.
- Work with HVAC systems to ensure proper operation and efficiency.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with other trades such as industrial electricians to complete complex projects.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client needs and ensuring satisfaction with services rendered.
- Perform welding tasks as needed for repairs or modifications to equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in English is required for effective communication within the team and with clients.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, electrical components, and HVAC systems is essential.
- Experience reading schematics and working with logic controllers is preferred.
- Previous experience as a Millwright or in a similar role is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team while demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.
- Customer service skills are important for interacting with clients professionally.
- Welding experience is a plus, particularly in relation to equipment repair or modification.
