The Makeup & Hairstylist Trainer will be responsible for teaching professional-level makeup and hairstyling techniques to students, developing curriculum, conducting hands-on training, and ensuring an engaging, supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities

  • Teach makeup artistry techniques, including bridal, editorial, glamour, and natural looks
  • Instruct students on hairstyling techniques such as updos, curls, braids, blowouts, and bridal hair
  • Provide demonstrations and hands-on guidance to students of varying skill levels
  • Develop and update course materials, lesson plans, and practical assessments
  • Stay current with trending beauty techniques, products, and industry standards
  • Evaluate student progress and give constructive feedback
  • Maintain a professional, positive, and encouraging classroom environment
  • Ensure all tools, products, and materials are used safely and hygienically
  • Support students in building portfolios and preparing for careers in the industry

Qualifications

  • Professional experience as a makeup artist and hairstylist (3+ years preferred)
  • Prior teaching or training experience is an advantage (but not required)
  • Strong knowledge of beauty trends, tools, and product applications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with diverse student groups
  • Certification in cosmetology or makeup artistry (preferred but optional depending on local requirements)
  • Reliable, organized, and passionate about teaching
